The North Central Kansas Technical College – Information Technology (IT) Program and the Digital Marketing Program returned home from competing at the State Leadership Conference for Business Professionals of America held in Wichita on February 22-24, 2018.

Business Professionals of America helps prepare students for careers in business, computer, and office occupations.  Technical Colleges and Community Colleges participate in the post-secondary organization.

The programs brought home 12 first places, 5 second places, 3 third places, and several Top 10 Finishes.  The individual placing can be found here: 2018 BPA Results. Competitions are held in financial, administrative, information technology, management/marketing/human resources and open events.  The events require a student to solve technical and business problems in an allotted amount of time.  Present their ideas to judges from their respective fields.  Or take tests that cover their area of interest.

All of these students are now eligible to compete in Dallas, Tx at the National Leadership Conference.  They will compete May 8 – 12, 2018.  The instructors for the Information Technology Program are Ashley Wiles and Robert McCreight. Jason Rinaldo is the instructor for the Digital Marketing Program.

Additional Information about the Information Technology and Digital Marketing Programs can be accessed at www.ncktc.edu.

These students will be conducting several fundraisers over the next two months to pay for their trip to nationals.  Any financial support from their communities will be appreciated.
