Institutional Scholarships

PRIORITY DEADLINE: January 15th
DEADLINE: March 1st

Incoming and continuing NCK Tech students are eligible for program-specific and general NCK Tech scholarship opportunities. If you would like to see a list of donors and scholarships given out by NCK Tech, please see the compiled scholarship list. Students who apply are considered for ALL scholarships they are eligible for by filling out this institutional scholarship application.


Kansas Promise Service Act Scholarship

Application will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis for qualified applicants. Students must have a program of study in Practical Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing, Pharmacy Technician, Information Technology, Welding, Electrical Technology, Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning, Building Construction, Welding Engineering and Technology, Carpentry/Cabinetmaking, Telecommunications and Network Technology, Heavy Equipment, Automotive Technology, Automotive Collision Technology or Diesel Technology. Hansen Career Enhancement Scholarship

DEADLINE: July 15th

The Dane G. Hansen Career Enhancement Scholarships, will be awarded by NCK Tech to selected adult learner applicants seeking to upgrade their skills, with the intent of starting a new career or advancing in their current profession. These individuals may face barriers preventing them from obtaining those skills including: existing family and financial obligations, insufficient financial assistance, and lack of support services.


Volga German Oktoberfest Scholarship

DEADLINE: February 15th

The Volga German Centennial Association Oktoberfest Scholarship is intended for students who attend or are planning on attending Fort Hays State University (FHSU) or North Central Kansas Technical College (NCK-Tech) full time in the following fall semester. A non-renewable $500 scholarship will be awarded to one student attending FHSU and one student from NCK-Tech.


Student Sponsorships

Sponsorships are designed to assist students with the affordability of their college education and assist businesses with recruiting and retaining qualified employees for industries that are experiencing a workforce shortage. A student is considered “sponsored” when a company recruits or is matched with a prospective or current NCK Tech student who shows potential and interest as a future employee of the company.
