Guaranty State Bank & Trust Co. in collaboration with The North Central Kansas Technical College Endowment Association and Foundation, have established the Dean Haddock Memorial Scholarship.

The Dean Haddock Memorial Scholarship was created to recognize the contributions made by Dean Haddock, former president of Guaranty State Bank & Trust Co., who was an original board member at North Central Kansas Technical College. This fund will provide an enduring legacy through annual scholarships at North Central Kansas Technical College.

Four scholarships will be awarded to North Central Kansas Technical College students starting Fall, 2022. The recipients of the scholarships shall be students properly enrolled in a full-time program at North Central Kansas Technical College on the Beloit Campus, who graduated from a high school in any of the following counties: Mitchell, Jewell, Cloud, Smith, Osborne, Lincoln, or Ottawa.

“Honoring the legacy of Dean Haddock, his contributions to the establishment of technical colleges in Kansas as well as his leadership with Guaranty State Bank & Trust Co., we are excited to endow this scholarship in his name,” said Doug Johnson, President of Guaranty State Bank & Trust Co.

“He was a true Trailblazer, making NCK Tech the first technical school in the state of Kansas, and he was the father of post-secondary technical education in the state of Kansas. I very much appreciate the Guaranty State Bank & Trust Co. honoring Dean’s legacy and memorializing his impact to NCK Tech,” said Eric Burks, President of North Central Kansas Technical College.

“We are deeply grateful to the leadership team of Guaranty State Bank & Trust Co. for establishing this important new scholarship fund, which we are honored to administer,” said Mendi Anschutz, Director of Advancement for the North Central Kansas Technical College Endowment Association and Foundation.
