NCK Tech Students Compete in National BPA

The North Central Kansas Technical College Business Professionals of America (BPA) organization, with students from the Information Technology (IT) Department, Telecommunications and Networking Technology (Telecom) Department, and the Business Management (BM) Department on the Beloit campus, recently competed in the National Leadership Conference for Business Professionals of America (BPA) in Anaheim, CA on May 5 – May 9, 2015.

Business Professionals of America (BPA) helps prepare students for careers in business, computer, and office occupations.  Universities, Colleges, Technical Colleges, Community Colleges, and Vocational Schools participate in the post-secondary organization.

NCK Tech Students winning awards included:

  • Brandon Nash (Clay Center, KS), John Haist (Miltonvale, KS) Timothy Dysinger (Ness City, KS), and Aaron Turner (Burr Oak, KS) – 3rd in Network Design Team
  • Gregory Koelzer (Corning, KS) – Top 10 in Digital Publishing
  • Stephanie Raymer (Beloit, KS) – Top 10 in Fundamental Desktop Publishing

  • Brett Wallace (Clay Center, KS) – Top 10 in Digital Media Production

  • Brandon Nash (Clay Center, KS) – Top 10 in Systems Administration Using Cisco
  • Brett Wallace (Clay Center, KS) and Gabriel Markham (Dearing, KS) – Top 10 in Video Production Team
  • Bryant Iverson (North Platte, NE) – Top 10 Visual Basic/C# Programming
  • Tyler Blass (Beloit, KS), Shelby McDaniel (Paola KS), and Jacob Antholz (Rexford, KS) – Top 10 Web Site Design Team
  • Students also competed in PC Servicing and Troubleshooting, Network Administration Using Microsoft, Information Technology Concepts, Computer Programming Concepts, and Computer Network Technology.
