(El Dorado, Kansas) November 18, 2015 – On Friday November 6, 2015,  NCK Tech instructor Doug Cox was honored by KCWE with an Excellence in Teaching Award at the Annual Conference held at the Butler Community College campus.

According to the KCWE website, The Excellence in Teaching award recognizes a faculty member who has demonstrated outstanding teaching abilities and dedicated commitment to career and technical education. These KCWE member instructors exemplify exceptional teaching and student engagement skills within and/or outside the classroom.

Mr. Cox is a Garden City Community College and Pittsburg State University graduate and has been an instructor at NCK Tech’s Beloit Campus for over 11 years with 6 years as the Dean of Agriculture Equipment Technology Department. President Eric Burk had this to say about Mr. Cox, “His industry experience, commitment to relevant hands-on instruction, and dedication to students makes Mr. Cox an exceptional educator and a deserving recipient of this recognition.”
