Jakob Church, an Automotive Technology student on our Hays campus, was the recent award recipient of the Autoshop Solutions $1000 scholarship award. The scholarship was awarded and sponsored by Autoshop Solutions Inc. based out of Apex, NC. Founder and owner Danny Sanchez and chief business development officer, Margaret Palango of Autoshop Solutions were present at the VISION HiTech Training Expo in Kansas City on March 3rd. 2018 to present the scholarship. Autoshop Solutions Inc. was founded by Danny Sanchez who started a website after taking over his father’s auto repair shop in California. It was then he discovered the power of the internet. Autoshop Solutions is the industry leader in website design for all things automotive, from mechanics, to collision, to transmissions, and performance, they have worked with shops all over the country to develop an eye-catching, user friendly website.
The generous donation of $1,000 for the scholarship was earned by submitting an application along with a few questions regarding the student’s background and goals along with a letter of reference. As of now, the doors are still open for Church after graduation, however, his plans for the future are to be within the automotive industry whether in the collision and refinishing field, mechanical or a mix of both.
