Braum’s is proud to congratulate Todd Allen and his son Trevor Allen of Courtland, KS for winning the Braum’s-Dr Pepper Tuition Giveaway Prize of $1000.

Todd is donating the prize to his son Trevor. Trevor is currently in senior at Pike Valley High School in Scandia, Kansas.  He plans to attend North Central Kansas Technical College in Beloit, Kansas to study carpentry and cabinet making.

“Woodworking is my passion,” Trevor said. “This prize will enable me to pursue my dream and do what I love.”

The contest ran from September 1, 2019 to October 30, 2019. Contestants had to be at least 18 years of age and reside in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma or Texas. All the contestants had to do to be entered was text BRAUMS to 737737.  They could enter once a day.

“I actually saw the contest advertised in the store window,” Todd said. “I only entered once, but I am so glad that we did and I am grateful to Braum’s and Dr Pepper for hosting this contest.”

While the Allen’s live over an hour away from their home store in Salina, they love making the trip for ice cream and burgers when they visit.

“The variety of the food that Braum’s offers is great,” said Todd.

“You can’t beat the customer service and ice cream here,” Trevor added. “Marcie and the staff at the store were wonderful the day that we came to town to accept the prize.”

The contest offered a chance to win one of twenty $1,000 tuition awards or one $23,000 tuition award through text entries.

“This contest has really become a big morale booster among our customers and employees,” said Drew Braum, President and CEO. “We’re so humbled to be able to help others achieve their educational goals and wish all the winners success in their future.”

The Dr Pepper tuition award can be used to cover college or post-secondary vocational institutional tuition, fees, books, supplies, equipment, related educational expenses or on-campus room and board. The tuition award can also be used to pay off student loans for eligible costs.
