Kansas Promise Service Act Scholarship

Application will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis for qualified applicants. Students must have a program of study in Practical Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing, Pharmacy Tech, Information Technology, Welding, Electrical Technology, Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning, Building Construction, Welding Engineering and Technology, Carpentry/Cabinetmaking, Telecommunications and Network Technology or Heavy Equipment. NCK Tech Departmental Scholarship


First-year students are eligible to apply for this scholarship.  One scholarship will be awarded per department, in the amount of $500 per year.  Recipients are decided by program instructors.  This scholarship is automatically renewed each year if a 2.5 GPA is achieved during the first year of study.

NCK Tech Technical Honor Scholarship


First-year students who are graduating high school and possess exemplary skills in the program they plan to enroll, may qualify for the NCK Tech Technical Honor Scholarship.  Students must visit campus to tour their academic program before the scholarship deadline. Applicants also are required to have a 2.75 cumulative GPA in high school.  The scholarship is based on the student’s performance.  A maximum of $1,000 per year is awarded.

Program Specific & General NCK Tech Scholarship


Incoming and continuing NCK Tech students are eligible for program-specific and general NCK Tech scholarship opportunities. Additionally, there are many scholarship opportunities NCK Tech students frequently received through community and state agencies, as well as business and industry.  View Here for links to various websites where students can apply for them. Hansen Career Enhancement Scholarship

DEADLINE: July 15th

The Dane G. Hansen Career Enhancement Scholarships, will be awarded by NCK Tech to selected adult learner applicants seeking to upgrade their skills, with the intent of starting a new career or advancing in their current profession. These individuals may face barriers preventing them from obtaining those skills including: existing family and financial obligations, insufficient financial assistance, and lack of support services.

Dane G. Hansen Career and Technical Education Scholarship


One hundred scholarships of $4,000 each are available to encourage students who seek competence through career and technical education (1- or 2-year programs) at the following schools in Northwest Kansas: North Central Kansas Technical College (Beloit and Hays), Colby Community College, Northwest Kansas Tech – Goodland, Academy of Hair Design (Hays and Salina), Cloud County Community College, Fort Hays State University (2-year program), or Kansas State Polytechnic (2-year program).

Volga German Oktoberfest Scholarship


The Volga German Centennial Association Oktoberfest Scholarship is intended for students who attend or are planning on attending Fort Hays State University (FHSU) or North Central Kansas Technical College (NCK-Tech) full time in the following fall semester. A non-renewable $500 scholarship will be awarded to one student attending FHSU and one student from NCK-Tech.
