This course introduces the learner to applications of critical thinking and the nursing process to provide care to client’s in a variety of health care settings. Nursing concepts related to health/illness concept guide the learner in assisting the individual in achieving optimal functioning. Knowledge from fundamental nursing, the sciences, pharmacology, and
nutrition along with the continued integration of cultural concepts provides foundations for nursing care planning for medical and surgical clients.
